SOFTWARE COMPARISON

Note: All image processing software takes practice if you want to get the best out of it.

In each case, there are very helpful video tutorials as well as the usual on-line help.

However, you must be prepared to put the time in.

(*) Luminar 4 requires a different way of thinking (compared with ON1). Editing is based on AI software and done more (though not exclusively) through available presets than the manipulation of settings using standard slider controls. This may suit some of you extremely well. These presets achieve effects and manipulations that otherwise would take a great deal of editing time and would be hard to reproduce. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

(**) The best of the bunch - DxO PhotoLab 4.
