When choosing a backpack don't get carried away with the idea that bigger is better.

Make sure that:

1. the style is going to be comfortable for you

2. it will not be too heavy for you to carry when fully loaded

3. that it can cope with your likely uses for it (including the kind of terrain and weather in which you will be using it)

4. it will take all of your equipment, and leave a margin to spare for the things you have forgotten about or will acquire in the near future.

With backpacks price really does reflect quality.
